Meet the team | František
The goal of these articles is to introduce the members of our team.
Let’s introduce František Rokůsek, Full Stack Developer Ruby on Rails, who joined Per Angusta 6 months ago.
Let’s start with a quick Chinese portrait!
If you were a dish?
I would definitely be vepřo knedlo zelo (see here what is it).
Northern Canada or Alaska because I love cold and snow! ☃️
A famous character?
MacGyver because in my everyday life I always try to find a unique solution with what I have on hand… and my mum used to call me like that. 🤣
A tool? 🛠
A RaspberryPi because you can build pretty much everything with a Pi (ok it isn’t technically a tool).
What’s your last impactful or impulse purchase?
My last impulse purchase was a pair of headphones 🎧 for working in open-space but more importantly my last impactful purchase was a greenhouse to grow our own veggies on our residential shared garden, with the kids 🥕🍅☘️.
What did you do before joining Per Angusta?
After my graduation from a business school, I used to work as Project Manager for a big French group Sodexo. I was managing national and international bidding processes. After nearly 4 years, we decided to move back to Lyon with my wife and children. Developing has always been a hobby. Therefore, I started refurbishing myself into a developer with LeWagon bootcamp. Then I worked as a freelance for two startups before joining Per Angusta.
What is your current role within the Tech Team?
I joined Per Angusta as a Full Stack Developer. I have many different tasks including developing new features, maintaining the application, updating the code base and ensuring that all security requirements are met. I have also a role of developing and promoting an internal tool that helps us meeting high standards in term of customer success. I can occasionally help on new client setup.
Tell us about a project that you are particularly proud to have participated in Per Angusta?
I think I was very happy to participate quickly in the development of new features and the confidence Per Angusta gave me. I am particularly proud of developing the internal tool that seeks to increase autonomy and productivity of our customer success and sales teams.
Why did you want to join Per Angusta?
In fact, I had the opportunity to meet all the tech team several times in Lyon.rb meetups. It was easy to feel the good team spirit. I also wanted to join a more human size and flexible team.
Come on, you can tell us … 😉 what’s your hidden talent or something you’re particularly proud of?
I am proud of having spent one and a half year of my student life participating in minor prisoners education and support. I realized the importance of education and the impact it can have on youngsters.
