Meet the team | Manola

The goal of these articles is to introduce the members of our team.
Here is Manola Ortiz Cabarrus, Digital Marketing Assistant at Per Angusta!

Let’s start with a quick Chinese portrait!

If you were a dish?
Tacos al Pastor with lots of pineapple and spicy green sauce. My mother always taught me that you need a colorful plate in order to have a balanced meal!
Ok, tacos may not be the healthiest dish ever, but it surely has all the flavor explosion you want in a delicious tortilla bite 🌶️🔥

A destination?
My grandmother’s beach house in Huehuete, Nicaragua…where the sand is black, the ocean warm, and where I can have all the mangos and coconuts I could ever hope for.

A famous character?
Hinata in Haikyuu! 🏐 (an anime character) not because he is an innocent kid playing volleyball, but because he is so pure at heart, passionate and funny – and I wish I was as determined as he is.

A tool? 🛠
A tulip beer glass. Always be prepared in case a wild craft beer appears.

What’s your last impulse purchase?
I bought a package of 20 toys for my puppy. I was hoping she would play with them instead of my socks. I was, of course, wrong.

What did you do before joining Per Angusta?

I moved from Guatemala to France four years ago for my studies, and I joined Per Angusta after moving to Lyon for my master’s degree. Before that, I was in Toulouse finishing my bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and International Communication at the University of Toulouse 2.

What is your current role within the Marketing Team?

As Per Angusta is expanding its international presence, the marketing team is working hard to develop the company’s reputation, increase lead generation through different channels, and keep pace with demand and the competition.
I joined Per Angusta to support the marketing team as a Digital Marketing Assistant, so I’m always on different missions. One day, we are promoting a French event and the next we are collaborating with a colleague from another team to nurture his contacts in Germany and German-speaking countries. I also do community management of social media, Twitter in particular. I support our content development efforts, helping to produce blog articles, events, webinar summaries, and newsletter content and design. Additionally, I make sure our blog and website are up to date, find curation articles and make the visuals and infographics for most of our events. I also take part in lead generation, building campaigns for our different audiences. Finally, I am particularly active in curation activities for internal needs, but also to nurture our customers and prospect community.

Tell us about a project that you are particularly proud to have participated in Per Angusta?

Because I’m new to the professional environment, every day is new and exhilarating for me. I’ll get very excited when I see my work results on our site or social media, or when someone else in Per Angusta is using a worksheet I created.
However, the most exciting project would probably be the Customer Satisfaction Survey. I was in charge of gathering numbers and quotations and compiling them in a professional report to present to our clients. The result was hours of hard work from the sales and marketing teams in what I think is a very professional and helpful document for our clients!

Why did you want to join Per Angusta?

I was looking for an internship for my master’s degree. When I saw the job offer, I had no clue what the procurement ecosystem even was, but Per Angusta clearly had what looked like an amazing team and values that resonated with me.
When I submitted my application, I was convinced that this company looked too good to be true –there must be a catch. And there is. I’m surrounded by amazing leaders and incredible people…now I’m trapped, and I don’t want to leave!

Come on, you can tell us … 😉 is there something that you’re particularly proud of?

I’m someone who is very lucky. I’m always winning at lotteries and games, which I definitely enjoy. If you combine this with my love of playing cards, I can easily play nonstop for hours! 🃏
