Meet the team | Thomas
The goal of these articles is to introduce the members of our team.
Here is Thomas Mordin, UX Designer, who joined Per Angusta more than a year ago!
Let’s start with a quick Chinese portrait!
If you were a dish?
Chicken with watermelon, the perfect union of my two favorite dishes, sweet and salty, refreshing and thirst-quenching. 🍗
If I had to choose a city it would be Copenhagen, very green, cosy, human; pioneer in terms of ecology, and one of the major cities of design and alternative art. 🇩🇰
A famous character?
The french humorist, actor, screenwriter Alexandre Astier, for his humour, his ability to create, write and compose; his passion for music, science and physics that make him a person I admire.
A tool? 🛠
A multifunction pliers, that I always have with me. It has pliers, knife, scissors, screwdriver, tweezers, file, and especially bottle opener!
I don’t use it every day, but it’s when you need it that you’re happy to have it!
What’s your last impulse purchase?
I recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods pro. I’ve been waiting a long time for their in-ear bluetooth earphones. I am very satisfied and quite surprised by the efficiency of the noise reduction, which is a real advantage when you’re working in open space.
nb: I am not sponsored by Apple.
What did you do before joining Per Angusta?
I worked in a software company as a UX designer.
I was part of a team developing web applications in the medical field, for hospitals. My role was to design the interface of these applications in one hand, and to be the product link with the development teams in the other hand. Among these applications, we can mention a teleconsultation application between the hospital and the nursing homes, an HR management application for hospital agents in multi-support (office, mobile, iPad, touch terminal…) or a tablet application intended for the patient-family-carer link for patients hospitalized at home.
What is your current role within the Tech Team?
I joined Per Angusta as a UX Designer. I’m working on the complete redesign of the solution’s interface, and on the support of the many evolutions brought to the platform; from their design to their integration. I am also working on the new eMyse module dedicated to the creation and animation of purchasing strategies, developed in partnership with ByO Group.
Tell us about a project that you are particularly proud to have participated in Per Angusta?
I am proud and feel very lucky to have been working on the eMyse project. Through my interactions with the internal team and with By.O’s consultants, I have acquired knowledge on Purchasing and Category management. I learnt about supply chains, circular economy and the need to raise awareness about the management of resources and raw materials. From a personal perspective, it really triggered a change in my lifestyle habits and their impact on the environment. From a professional point of view, it was an experience that taught me a lot about the project design process and the world of purchasing.
For me, from 2020 onwards, it should be essential to use the Myse methodology and eMyse module to design purchasing strategies.
Why did you want to join Per Angusta?
After 3 years spent in the hospital sector, I was seduced by the opportunity to discover a brand new field. It was also the potential of the application that made me want to join Per Angusta. Coming from a smaller town than Lyon, the fact that the team is on a human scale, the friendliness and family spirit made me feel very comfortable.
Come on, you can tell us … 😉 what’s your hidden talent ?
Since it’s between us, and I know it won’t be published on the web, I can tell you that I can cut vegetables as fast as in Top Chef, and I’m quite proud of it. But this stays between us, right?
